With more than 25 years of experience in music lessons, Ms. Young A "Joy" Paik provides award-winning instruction to all her students. She is motivated by her love of music and the passion to transfer her knowledge and skills to others so their creativity and talent can shine.

Born in South Korea, Joy Paik received a Master’s degree in piano performance from the Brooklyn College of NY City College and a Bachelor’s degree in piano performance and church music from ChongShin University in Seoul, Korea.  She also studied for a year in a Collaborative Piano doctorate program at the Mason Gross School, Rutgers University with Prof. Gonzales-Palmer. The most influential teachers of her musical growth include pianist Agustin Anievas, Gerald Robbins and Prof. SookYoung Park. Joy has appeared in numerous concerts as a soloist and as a collaborating pianist since 1995 both in Korea and the USA.  She previously served as a faculty member at the Brooklyn Conservatory of NY, and also was a pianist, organist and music director for various choirs, youth choirs, Chamber Ensembles. She is actively performing throughout New Jersey, New York and the neighboring areas while also passionately teaching piano, directing children’s musicals, vocal coaching, and conducting instrumental ensembles. Her utmost vision as a music educator is to develop various programs for young people and teens to serve the community through music.
Currently Joy Paik is the owner and head instructor of Joy’s music studio in Ramsey, NJ and Westwood, NJ, as well as a music director of Grace Notes Ensemble - a student-operated community service group. She also has been serving as the worship and music director of Living Hope Church in Paramus, NJ and the accompanist of NJ State Children’s Choir.
Joy Paik resides in Ramsey, NJ with two beautiful daughters, Katie and Jordan.
